Greg Jones:

All right, tiffany Williams, thank you for being on the podcast. I'm your host, greg Jones, and I have the pleasure of sitting in front of Tiffany One, Ace Williams.

Tiffany Williams:

How are you today? I'm doing better than desired Thanks for asking, greg.

Greg Jones:

You know, people say that what? What does that mean to you?

Tiffany Williams:

To me it's a lot of people don't know my history and the Lord has really, really been. He has plans for me. I'll put it like that.

Greg Jones:

Yeah, and most of y'all can't see the expression that she made as she said that you have to go to our YouTube page, but I can tell that when you said it, it stuck with me better than you deserved. Wow, tell us about you, our listening audience. You know in some ways I know this, but they don't know that you're famous, famous.

Tiffany Williams:

Man you're famous.

Greg Jones:

Tell us about Tiffany Williams, you're famous.

Tiffany Williams:

I've about Tiffany Williams. You famous. I've been involved with the music industry for quite some while, thanks to two great mentors. Rod and Reggie Mays over at RIM Productions introduced me to Nitro. Everybody knows Nitro now he's famous. Everybody knows Nitro now he's famous. And he tugged me under his wing and signed me. I was signed with him and to a major record label. So I am the first female in Oklahoma to sign to a major record deal.

Greg Jones:

History, everybody. History in the making. Where is my? I was going to say 8-track. No, I ain't on your 8-tracks, no more. Where's my 45? Wow, that is awesome, congratulations, wow, that is awesome.

Tiffany Williams:

Congratulations, that's a big deal it is. You know, some people I don't know. I'm just the type of person that until somebody tells me something, I don't really reflect on it. Then I'll be like, oh dang, I am that, you know. But I started working with Perry Publishing and Broadcasting. I've been there for about a little over 20 years and I help manage some of the financial end of national and local clients that we have, and that's from Augusta, arkansas, tulsa, oklahoma City about 10 radio stations. Also, I had a talk show where I interviewed local artists in Oklahoma on the station for a brief time, but in 2016, well, no further than that, like 2005, I started 1HPR Marketing Solutions, where I help artists strategically plan out album releases are they single releases and execute those. And you told me a while ago like hey, ace, you're leaving money on the table. So I moved forward with also helping small businesses forward. Also helping small businesses I don't like to use the word small Up and coming entrepreneurs with marketing and PR for their companies as well.

Greg Jones:

Well, you're absolutely right. I had the opportunity to spend some time with Tiffany and just talk through some of the business practices. You got a great and solid business and, as I understand, you're not only helping folks here in Oklahoma but in other states as well.

Tiffany Williams:

Yep, local and national. Wow, I think that's incredible.

Greg Jones:

Obviously, our podcast is really geared for as you mentioned I like that word up and coming business owners, existing business owners or aspiring business owners really to share parts of your journey, uh, that you feel have been most helpful along the way, and so I'm glad to we're going to be inspired and encouraged about some of the things that you have to say. What are those keys to your journey?

Tiffany Williams:

So my keys to my journey are really just a few of the keys that are foundation to both my personal and my professional life that are a foundation to both my personal and my professional life. First and foremost is prayer commitment and loyalty and execution.

Greg Jones:

Okay, we got to start with that first one prayer Prayer. Tell me about this, tell me about prayer.

Tiffany Williams:

Prayer, it's my go-to. I know I was telling you earlier like it seems like the good Lord answers like 90% of my prayers. You know whether it turns out the way I wanted it to or not. You know, when it comes to business and personal, it just it gives me guidance. When it comes to business and personal, it gives me guidance, clarity and a peace of mind. It also helped me focus and trust the process right, and that's whether it's the way I planned it or the way it just doesn't come out the way I want it to, but it still helps me be thankful and I learn from the process.

Tiffany Williams:

But prayer is really the foundation that starts off anything. That's what my morning with my clients. To myself, I haven't prayed with any clients, but I'll pray. You know, is this the right fit for me in the client? Because I don't take on every client. They have to fit into and I have to be able to provide for them. You know what I mean? Because they're going to trust me and that leads me into like commitment and loyalty right, which is my second key.

Greg Jones:

So prayer has been a key and you were sharing a story with me before we talked about the podcast, Even through some of the things you've done within your family you've seen prayer work. And I don't want to go there today because you said it. But if people really knew my story. But it feels like you're coming from a place where, for this to be the number one key, you really have a story to tell.

Tiffany Williams:

I really do, like I really do, uh, friend, my, my, uh comrades, always like, ace, you need a book, like you really need to write a book. But as I was growing up, I've seen prayer work through my grandmother and my mom praying for me, my sisters, and seeing it work. And I was telling you earlier about one of my kinfolks, an older person heavy in the church, heavy in the church, heavy in the church, and I mentioned to her like, hey, I'm gonna be praying, like, oh, your prayers even do they connect, wait a minute, do they, you know? And that really had, um, I've seen them work right. So they have to work for me. But what does it take for me to make sure that they're going to get answered? I know they're not going to get answered 100%, you know, but 90 times out of 100, the good Lord is always answering for me, he's right there for me.

Greg Jones:

And I love the way you said that sometimes the answer isn't always yes, it isn't always no, but there is an answer.

Tiffany Williams:

Yeah.

Greg Jones:

And what I've learned. You know, as we're talking about prayer, sometimes when I don't get an answer yes or no I'm saying this I really believe God's saying I trust you. So, either whether you go left or you go right, whether you do it or you don't do it, I trust that you're going to, so anyway we're not trying to get into the church service right now, but you mentioned prayer and I can understand why.

Greg Jones:

And I can tell why I love the fact that you actually utilize that to pray about your clients whether or not to accept a client, because it sounds like once you're in, you're all in all the way.

Tiffany Williams:

Yep, you're not going to give up people on anybody and I appreciate that about what you're doing your business.

Tiffany Williams:

Okay, let's talk about commitment and loyalty yep, that's where commitment and loyalty comes in, um, I'm committed with my goals, with my clients, with my values, um, and my clients with my values and loyalty. That builds trust right and that's the reason I believe that my word of mouth marketing, I say, my walking billboards is word of mouth and it's helped me build long-term relationships with a lot of clients, uh, personal and, you know, professional um relationships so you know, when I think about um, when I think about what you talk, about long-term commitment and loyalty and we know that we don't I know what has to happen is consistency yeah you do what you say you're going to do, and you do it over and over again and people, clients, friends, true friendships really begin to build, because not only do you have the commitment and loyalty, but you stay consistent.

Tiffany Williams:

And my word like my word. If I tell you I'm going to do something, I try my my best to do it. I don't make any promises anymore. I don't make promises, but I do try to over deliver when I say I'm gonna do something wow that's awesome okay, that takes us to your third key.

Greg Jones:

What's your third key?

Tiffany Williams:

execution, execution okay, this is where this is where the rubber meets the.

Greg Jones:

We can talk about it or we can do something about it Right, talk about it or be about it.

Tiffany Williams:

Being able to see your vision come to life, I think that's the most rewarding Planning it, foreseeing it, dreaming about it and making it happen. Like I can pray all day, I can make a commitment to someone, I can be loyal, but results come from execution. You know, no matter whatever the obstacle is, you know plan it, prioritize you. You know you always telling me probably got to make sure you prioritize it and and figure it out. You know, and I use community to help me as well.

Greg Jones:

So I love that. You know it's like starting a race and you can be at the start line and we can have the engine going, but you've got to put your foot on the pedal.

Tiffany Williams:

No facts, listen. So I can't remember when I came up with this, but I used to run track in high school, right? So I envision myself at the track, right the track and field, and I'm at the starting line, right the gunshot, boom. I'm running, right, I don't jump hurdles, right, I don't run, I just sprint, I run relay. But all of a sudden, while I'm on this track, there's a hurdle Like dang. So I have to jump that hurdle, I have to overcome that hurdle and I'm running and all of a sudden here's another hurdle and another hurdle.

Tiffany Williams:

Why is there hurdles when I'm just running a relay, right, and it's like those are those obstacles, right, but it's and this is where my prayer and commitment and loyalty comes in and it's like as soon as it's like dang, I don't know which way to go. I'm tired, I'm almost tired, about to run out of energy. There's the good Lord right there at that line, waiting for you to pass that baton Right, and it seems like every time I just continue to push, he's right there, like, hand it over to me. I see you tired, I got you, but you can kind of still pace, don't just stop. You know, still pace, but I got you, you know, and that's that I live by that a lot.

Greg Jones:

Wow, that's a great man. That's a great analogy and the fact that used to be used to run track as well. They're going to be hurdles that come, but with prayer, commitment, loyalty and the fact that you continue to execute, there is a prize at the end and sometimes you always want to say they want to finish first. It's not about finishing first, it's about finishing.

Tiffany Williams:

Yeah, yeah.

Greg Jones:

And it sounds like that's what you do, not only in your daily life, but also with your clients. Yeah, is there anything else that you want to share before we start wrapping things up?

Tiffany Williams:

I just want to tell you thank you. I appreciate coming and hanging out with greg t.

Greg Jones:

Most people don't know about the great tea, so let me, let's let him in on the secret okay um, she mentioned earlier about perry publishing. Broadcasting used to be an open mic show. Uh, way back, fred elkins and uh, lana west and and uh, but anyway, uh, fred said one time he said we can't just call you greg, my little initial is t, so we got to call you greg t and every time I see tiffany.

Greg Jones:

She's a great, so all right. So everybody knows reiki's podcast. Now when I see y'all out there and we get to meet each other, that means I'm a great. But that's awesome. You're absolutely welcome. I'm glad to get a chance to know you and to be a part of a community that is trying to help others continue to get better. Anything else that you want to leave as dropping dimes and nuggets for us.

Tiffany Williams:

That's about it. Oh, I am celebrating um owning a record label now. So, um, a friend of mine out from atlanta, shout out to strong. He introduced me to um big phil with the legends group and um work with him and he said she's really good, I need you on my team, so why don't you start a record label? I stepped out on faith and the record label is under Legends Group, which is connected to Sony Records, and I have a distribution platform under the orchard.

Greg Jones:

Now, wow, now, if you didn't know that right here on Three Keys for your Journey podcast, tiffany 1A's Williams has a record label.

Tiffany Williams:

I actually do, I actually do, wow yeah.

Greg Jones:
